SLEEP APNEA

Sleep is a critically important component of human existence.
Sleep allows both the body and brain to rest and recover from the stress of daily life. As such, trouble sleeping can cause a range of health problems, and if left untreated, dire consequences.
Snoring and apnea are typically caused by a narrowing of your upper AIRWAY.

Sleep apnea is literally when a person stops breathing during sleep.

As a result, the brain undergoes repeated moments of suffocating. Sleep apnea and snoring interrupt sleep for both the sleeper and their bed partner.
When the brain doesn't get enough oxygen, MOOD, ENERGY, WAKEFULNESS, MEMORY, and COGNITION can be greatly affected.
Left untreated sleep apnea leads to an increased risk of stroke, heart attack, and dementia (brain damage).
While the CPAP machine remains the gold standard for treatment of sleep apnea, for mild cases and snoring oral appliances can be very effective.

Changing diet, lifestyle habits and early prophylactic procedures are our paradigm.
